Our lawyers have played an active role in negotiating,structuring and launching major investment projects in the Kyrgyz Republic in the fields of tobacco, glass, cement, banking and microfinance, hotels, telecommunications, gold mining, mineral exploration, aircraft leasing, energy, electricity and a number of other industries. We advise clients on business start-up matters such as: choosing the legal structure of a new business, establishing and registering companies, settling and formalizing relationships with local partners and state authorities, complying with legal requirements (licensing, certification, taxation) for engaging in certain businesses, formalizing commercial finance and secured transactions, obtaining land rights, hiring expatriate and local personnel and a number of other relevant matters.
Our goal is to build a solid legal foundation for doing business successfully in the Kyrgyz Republic. Our lawyers have been involved in drafting investment agreements between foreign investors and the Kyrgyz Government. Upon the request of our clients, our lawyers have conducted legal audits (due diligence) of local companies. Our legal opinions with respect to the standing of local mining companies have been accepted by stock exchanges in England, Australia, and Canada for the purposes of public offerings of corporate securities.
