Kalikova & Associates takes part in the Regional Public-Private Dialogue Platform “Legal Framework in Subsoil Use”, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan

Kalikova & Associates Senior Lawyer Jyldyz Tagaeva participated in the 7th session of the Regional Public-Private Dialogue (RPPD) Platform held on May 24-25 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The event was organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) for public sector, mining/consulting services sector and NGO representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Germany. The participants shared experience and news in extractive industries, in particular:

- the enabling legal environment for investment in the extractive industries;
- improving the legal environment for extractive industries;
- transparent and efficient agreements;
- environmental and social performance standards for permitted extractive industry operations.

In the framework of this discussion, Jyldyz Tagaeva reported on Kalikova & Associates’ input in the development of the medium and long-term mining strategy and reforming the legal environment for extractive industries in the Kyrgyz Republic.
